reflective practice

words and numbers- Alternative miss world, for this project so far i have looked into the background of alternative miss world, looking at the boldness within the personalities of the artists. the way they express themselves and how open they are about themselves, i find it inspiring to see how people can be so comfterble in their own skin. from this research i have tried to bring in colour and boldness which reflect the meaning of alternative miss world. using abstract forms to create a poster reflecting alternative miss world. we also did a excessive where we were each given a name of a fruit or vegetable which most of us didn't know what they were or had never heard of them. we researched into that fruit looking at the colour, texture, shape and what effect it could have on the human body. from this research i tried to incorporate these different elements into my work.

In the box
this excursive involved a cardboard box and our own thoughts, making our own meaning to what the box was, what it meant and what it could represent. i started by concentrating on how the box made me feel and expanded from there. for example...

surrounded by mirrors- all there is to look at is yourself- everything reflects on you
