Fmp final piece

this is near the exit of my den i decided to hiring in photos from home of when me ,my brother and
sister were little playing with our parents, this was to show parents seem to be more accepted to play as they have kids and parent encourage there kids to play so ultimately they become part of the play time.

these are a few images showing what you would see above your head inside the den. i used two different set of fairy lights over the thin sheets. they were bright enough to light up inside and set a calming tone. i wanted people to feel sleepy so it would link back to the idea of being in a child's dream whilst they sleep after being read a fairy tale or a bedtime story.

to get out of my den i built a wide enough tunnel for people to get out. this was another way for me to force my viewers to get down to child size. i made it big enough for them to get out but tight enough of them to feel they were in a child's setting and mind.
throughout the den i brought in plenty of sheets and blankets and duvets to create lots of padding for it to be comfortable for people to get around on there hands and knees. also the sheets were very childish the den was covered in mini mouse and hello kitty!
i also built in a cardboard box tv so kids could pretend they are watching something. making there own house to live in.
you will also notice that around the corners of the den you will see that i have put around lots of children's toys and teddy's again reminding the viewers they are in a child's den.
i decided to make the den a little but of a maze so people wouldn't know what they would see until they turn the next corner. i used big sheets of cardboard to create the walls, before i added the wales it looked like i was trying to create a meditation room like the one i saw in lincoln. this way with the cardboard it makes it look very home made and crafty. also it enhanced the idea to make adults feel like they were in a small space. from how low we hung the sheet and then brought the walls in with the maze it made everyone feel like they were in a child's world.

you would of also noticed that i had set up a colouring table for a way to get people to interact with the den and to get them to play like a child.

in the cuntre of the dun above your head was hanging my beads and gems. in the sheet i had cut out a big circle where i had attached thick wire in the edges of the circle. this helped with hanging the sheet from the centre to bring it up but also the wire helped with ting my gems around the outskirts of the circle inside, creating a pretty attraction to the den like a baby mobile. i also draped over thin strips of colourful plastic.

this is what the den looked like from one end looking above your head. the lights created a calming pretty setting contrasted with all the atmosphere of a child setting.

this is what it looked like above looking at the den. with the lights draped over it also created the same mood setting with the rest of the room which you saw when you exit the den.
as the background noise we had a recording from when a few other classmates went to a play zone in lincoln. you could hear them running around laughing and shouting to one another. automatically when u crawled into the den you got a playful atmosphere.
